The Lions Club organized a memorable Schelderit! Text en foto's door Serge

What we were lucky, it was a beautiful day with 27 degrees for 16^and edition of the Schelderit organized by the Lions Club. At half 10 we gathered at the Blue Peacock in Ossendrecht, where we got some drinks, we have signed, got a name sticker and we could pick out one of the most beautiful vintage cars and other special cars to get in there for a wonderful ride.
There were many types of cars where the owners obviously very proud of his. Renault 4, Fiat 500, Mercedes Bolhoed (in which I, along with two residents could ride J), Porsche, Caddilac, MG, Landrover, Audi and fixed many brands of cars in various types. Rode's open sportauto, suv, luxe limousines, the choice was great and everyone found a spot. Most cars and their owners are members of a club and several were already acquaintances of our residents from previous years. The nice thing is that the owners can tell a lot about cars.

We are around half 11 left and made a long trip across the polder roads here in the south-west corner. The farthest point Heiningen.Na was two hours we were welcomed by a large farm in Calfven where we got fries with snack, soda and appelflappen. There was music ... and there was a Dixie-toilets that worked overtime J. When everyone had fries on, There was another surprise; There was also the possibility to have 4×4-cars make a rough ride through a forest with a lot of bumps, potholes and puddles! Many of us are boarded and were "shaken" back from this trip.

Around half past three the tour was again put forth in vintage and at four o'clock we were back at the Blue Peacock for a festive closing with drinks. In addition, the Lions Club gave everyone a gift to. A bag Mathijs-candy and a stuffed animal or a model car or motorcycle; you could figure out for yourself what you liked.

The sun is our very day remained favorable and so we could sit on the terrace enjoying our drink. Just after five o'clock we were back on Titurel. It was a wonderfull day!! Thank you all car owners who bring reason, Lions members and anyone else who also ensured that we have a beautiful day to look back. Next year we are definitely back in action!!
