At Titurel joint work occupies an important place in: work is an important source of meaning. By 'real', suitable, work to be done, you have a meaningful therefore engaged. We see 'work' wider than the production work, also caring and working on personal development, we provide support to the organization of work areas.

When working, we believe it is essential that there is work sincerely offered. Sincerely work means no daytime activities as occupational therapy, but meaningful work, what is important , where you can be proud of and which contributes to the self-esteem. It also provides work a contribution to the community: in the form of a meal or the maintenance yard, of, in craft work, in the form of products that can be sold. However, this should never be an end in itself: the important thing is that connecting the work to the needs of the individual resident, to contribute to its development, consistent with their own level and pace.

The challenge is to get a good within the possibilities that exist, suitable workplace for finding someone and to create opportunities that someone comes into its own as much as possible the right circumstances. A severely autistic resident who can not work, works within the field of view of the employees in the forest and there it can go his own way. A troubled, mentally disabled man gets a domestic task, he cares for coffee and tea in the breaks and keep the room to have a chat with everyone.

In operation, the individual qualities of the residents come forward: everyone seems to have about talents and make a significant contribution to the whole. We put it in to make these qualities visible: for inmates, themselves but also for residents. This contributes to the (itself) Rating.

We divide the work into three areas;: the artisan, productive work, family responsibilities and personal development. This subdivision does not always make strictly. The different "areas" flow into one another: preparing meals is definitely 'productie'werk, but has everything to do with the care you have for each other. In the kitchen you work through learning techniques, learning plans, together, learning to work under pressure also to your personal development.

The premise is that everyone gets an individual program where both a part of the artisan working as part of the caring part of it. It is also important that each room will also have to focus its work in the 'learning' to his individual development: in one of the classes, music education or eurythmy.

When the value for the occupant is, sometimes in addition, a few shifts a week work sought outside Titurel. A single resident has a full 'working week' outdoors, or is a full-time course.

On the other hand, there are a few clients who do not live in Titurel, but only in line with the areas. The coupling of living and working with these clients is not achieved. No point: they are more than welcome!
