Nico celebrates 25 anniversary at WVS, written by Sonja

On Thursday 19 maart vierde Nico zijn 25 year (!) anniversary at WVS, it was a great party! I was very happy to be allowed to accompany Nico, ook Toon en GertJan waren van de partij want Nico had hen hiervoor uitgenodigd. All three looked pico bello out, so they should be for such a special occasion.

The party started at 4 uur en duurde tot een uur of acht ‘s avonds. Nico was not the only jubilee, er waren 9 jubilarissen die 12,5 years were in service and two are 25 years had sit on including Nico. Er werden vele toespraken gehouden en Nico kwam pas als laatste aan de beurt, dat maakte het wel spannend. Toch werd het een leuke middag; hij kreeg een mooi horloge, floral, a gift certificate and a lot of praise.

Nico genoot er zichtbaar van. Hij denkt trouwens zelf niet dat hij de 40 year is perfect, and that is very unlikely because by that time he was 70 years and so long since retired…!
