"The Marquis of Bieduinen" called us personally welcome; about the (some dusty ;)) red carpet steps we head towards the party ... but first our arrival was 'announced' by Lackey ... So ... the St. John feast, edition 2016, already started in style!

Luckily the atmosphere - after the 'official entrance "- casual and spontaneous. With a short discussion and some beautiful songs Janny opened, with musical accompaniment by Ad and with some help from the Marquis and his lackey, the St. John feast. Lukas had a crunchy fire caused where traditionally few brave leaps over.

Then attention was drawn to the jubilee residents; First Marquis reminded us of the jubilees of the previous years; Nico, Your, Martijn and Bob - Robert Jan and Marc before we were put in the spotlight. 25 Years living with Titurel, resounding cheers! We sang together a beautiful, written by Judith, song for Robert Jan and Marc was treated to a delicious cake. After a short speech by Robert Jan and Marc, opened this past the buffet and we could get a bite to eat.

All attendees were asked to bring a dish to the party. This resulted in a great variety, from traditional Dutch to exciting exotic, dishes. The barbecue was tasty sausages fried. After the meal was followed by a second official interlude; attention and time for a fitting farewell to Jan Meeuwisse as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
In a nice speech Peer emphasized the strong commitment of Jan at Titurel; niet alleen vanuit zijn functie in de raad van toezicht maar ook vanuit zijn persoonlijke interesse in het wel en wee van de bewoners en medewerkers. Of course some nice anecdotes were recounted and the whole then spontaneously degenerated into a, undershot vocals of Jan, fun singing ...! After Katrien Jan surprised with a nice gift, Marquis took the floor and Jan rewarded with the greatest honor: he became "Knight Bieduinen" beaten and received a ribbon pinned. This was the signal and for residents, staff and volunteers to get Jan all personally pinning a medal ... "not the finger, but the thumb "is a Titurel-cry that will undoubtedly continue to resound, Jan!

Some colleagues and volunteers meanwhile crossed the lot up their sleeves; Not only they cleared the buffet earlier and they took care of the dishes - even "conjured" she delicious desserts out and again gave a exuberant buffet ... Thank you for all your good care!!

Van bij de aanvang van het feest bracht de ‘smidse’ onder leiding van Bart volop sfeer; Dominique enjoyed to the fullest and Lex left moving along. The other workshops, Making such herbal sachets, designing a shell mandala, baking over the fire, archery, working with clay could ..., After a quiet start, considerable interest.

The evening rippled as yet quietly, Ton strummed on his guitar, there was talk and laughter; St John gave us a wonderful celebration.
